How to take Mobiflexi: one capsule, but take it properly
One capsule a day sounds trivial, and most people still get two parts of it wrong: the meal, because the fat-soluble compounds need fat to be absorbed, and the duration, because judging it at three weeks measures nothing. Both are fixed below.
Missed a dose — what now
Make it up, unless the next regular one is less than eight hours away, in which case skip it and carry on. Do not double up: a doubled glucosamine dose increases the stomach load without increasing the effect, since the compounds work by steady presence rather than by peak concentration. Two missed days in a ninety-day course changes nothing; a fortnight of them does.
Can you open the capsule?
Yes. The shell is plant-derived and tears open easily with dry fingers. The contents are a pale brown powder, earthy and faintly bitter — unpleasant in a glass of water, unobjectionable stirred into yoghurt, porridge or stewed apple. For anybody who struggles with large capsules this is the practical answer, and it does not spoil the phytosome technology.
Do it over a bowl rather than over the sink, take it immediately rather than letting the powder sit in the yoghurt for an hour, and do not stir it into anything hot, since heat is the one thing that genuinely degrades the curcumin.
Combinations that make sense
- Vitamin D3 with K2 the year-round British baseline, and it adds the bone side of the equation that Mobiflexi deliberately leaves out. Take it with the same meal, since both are fat-soluble.
- Magnesium in the evening helps with the calf cramps that occasionally turn up in the first few weeks, and pairs well with taking Mobiflexi at tea time.
- Omega-3 overlaps with boswellia on the inflammatory pathway rather than conflicting with it. Somebody already taking a high-strength fish oil tends to notice the start earlier — which makes the starter pack a slightly fairer test for them.

How to take it
- Pick one regular time — Once daily, always with the same meal. Most people choose breakfast; anyone with a sensitive stomach should choose the evening meal instead and sleep through the adjustment. Keep roughly 24 hours between doses rather than taking two on the day you remember.
- With a real meal, not a biscuit — Meriva® curcumin and the boswellic acids are fat-soluble. A digestif biscuit will not do — you need a few grams of fat: yoghurt, nuts, butter on toast, olive oil on something. This is the single biggest determinant of whether those two compounds arrive anywhere.
- A large glass of water — At least 250 ml. Glucosamine binds water, and too little fluid is the most common cause of the pressure across the upper abdomen that beginners report. A small sip with the capsule is the classic avoidable mistake.
- Space it from your other tablets — Two hours from levothyroxine, tetracycline antibiotics and iron supplements. Glucosamine and chondroitin bind to them in the gut and reduce how much of either medicine gets taken — levothyroxine in particular is unforgiving about this.
- Stay on it ninety days, then judge — Do not write the verdict at a fortnight. Cartilage is avascular and turns over slowly, so the fair assessment point is day 60 to 90. The 30-day money-back guarantee is a different clock and covers tolerance, not efficacy.
- Keep two lines of notes a week — Stairs, standing from a chair, night waking. Without a written baseline you will forget how it started and grade the progress too harshly — or, worse, too kindly. A note in the phone calendar is enough.
